Love Has No Seasons

Love has no seasons

Be there storms,
They are weathered
With commitment
To fuel the fire of love’s joy.

Be there sadness?
Love’s splendor
Always breaks through the clouds.

Love has no seasons.

In spring is love always renewed,
With the same or with another.
In fall is love’s harvest ripe with kisses
And all the fruits of the earth.

Love has no seasons.

In summer the children of love do play
And frolic within the arms of love.
In winter when all is cold
The heart of love is never freezing.

Love has no seasons.
All seasons are for love.
All seasons make the heart
Free to love.

And when God’s great eyes
Look down on souls below
May the Great Spirit always
See the faithful at love,
Never deceiving nor false.

Love has no seasons
But love is always honest to the core.
Love deceives not, nor is love unkind.
Love is faithful to love,
Even if not always faithful to each other.

Love strives not for perfection
But to be true to love.
Love allows freedom for mistakes.
Love knows no hurt that cannot heal.

Love puts the light on all,
Not just the good.
Love is kind, but also honest.
Honest love drives away despair,
As dishonest love creates it.

Love has no seasons.
All seasons are for love.

Love reigns over all.
When love is blessed
All hearts are blessed
In their ability to love.

So let us love one another,
Being honest in love,
Fulfilling ourselves
And each other.

Love has no seasons
Every season is love.

Love’s Truths

2007 © Strephon Kaplan-Williams

Though lovers be lost, love is not lost
Though life is lost, purpose is not lost
Though existence is lost, meaning is not lost
Though love be lost, lovers are not lost

Where courage is, there love can be gained
Where suffering is endured, there love has its chance
Where passion is evoked, there souls may be found
Where love is affirmed, there healing can hold us

Where the sun shines over us, there is night the blacker
Where the winds blow furiously, there is the heart still
Where time takes all, there do we reach further
Where the old ones drop and die, there do we cling on still

Where conflicts arise, there do we commit again to love
Where the parents want us with them, do we break the bonds
Where friends betray us, there do we affirm love the more
Where greater life eludes us, there do we acknowledge defeat

When the sun rises, we move on
When the loved ones leave us,
Then do we say our goodbyes,
When the body fails us, as it surely will,
Then will we cry out our last breaths

When the flame dies on us
Then are we ashes and dust
When our memories fail in others
We are no more . . .
